Well, my FIRST Mario movie got a Daily 3rd, and the response THIS movie got was just surprising.
And Mario movies don't always get awards. They need to be presented with a sense of professionalism, maybe with a few custom-made sprites thrown in. About 95% of this movie had customized sprites or sprites made from scratch, and that's something people like a lot.
